6 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
6.5 FILTER CLEANING
Shut off the water supply.

Use a coin or flat-head screwdriver to unscrew the filter and take it out.

Please use a brush and water to gently remove the deposits.

Re-install the filter.

Turn open the water inlet valve.

6.6 DESCALING PROCESS
The descaling process can vary depending on the region and the hardness of the water. The
standard interval should be once every year.
Descaling process will reduce or eliminate limescale deposits inside water path (hoses,
water tank, instant heater and nozzle tip). It is required that the user adds some quantity of
descaling agent (descaling powder) through the hole in the main body case.
Open the lid and the descaler cover from the main body case of the device and pour the

powder descaling agent into the hole.
Press rotary button and temperature button at the same time about 3 seconds or longer to

activate descaling process. During the descaling process, the light of the bowl is blinking in
yellow.
The whole descaling process takes approximately 15 min. When it is finished the device

will make 1 long beep signal to indicate the process is complete.

For descaling only use the Laufen descaling agent (H8946970000001). other descaling
agents may cause damage.
