1 About these instructions
This document must be read completely and thoroughly be-
fore the device is put into operation. The document must be
kept and to be handed over to future users.
This document applies to the Alpha Smartware room control
unit LED.
The enclosed or printed QR code is used, among other
things, to specify the serial number for service and support
and to claim the devices in the Alpha Smart app. Please
keep this code safe and have the respective device code at
hand in such cases.

2 Safety
All safety notes in this document must be observed in order
to avoid accidents with personal damage or property dam-
age. No liability is assumed for personal damage and prop-
erty damage caused by improper use or non-observance of
the safety notes. In such cases any warranty claim is invalid.
There is no liability for consequential damages.
2.1
Intended use
Any other usage, change, and modifications are strictly pro-
hibited. Usage other than the intended use leads to dangers
for which the manufacturer is not liable, and to an exclusion
of warranty and liability.
The device is part of the Alpha Smart system and is used for
the following purposes:
– for installation in environments of residential use
– Registration of the actual temperature (room tempera-
ture) and the humidity
– Setting of the target temperature (comfort temperature)
– Radio communication in the Alpha Smartware network
2.2
Qualification of the professional staff
Mounting and commissioning of the device require basic
mechanical and electrical knowledge as well as knowledge
of the associated technical terms. In order to ensure oper-
ational safety, these activities may only be carried out by a
trained, instructed (also with respect to safety), and author-
ized specialist or by an instructed person under the direction
of a specialist.
A specialist is someone who is able to assess the work assigned
to him, recognize possible hazards and take suitable safety
measures, on the basis of his technical training, knowledge and
experience as well as his knowledge of the relevant regulations.
A specialist must comply with the relevant specialist rules.
