Setting the start-up application
After tapping System, the Start-up application window opens. The application
to be displayed directly after switching can be configured here. The following
applications can be configured:
– Settings Tool
– VNC Viewer
– Chromium
– Chromium (kiosk)
– Static Page
– Static Page (custom)
– No application
9.1
VNC Viewer
The screen of a computer can be displayed on the web panel via Virtual
Network Computing (VNC).
A VNC Server must be installed on the computer.
The web panel has the tightVNC Viewer installed, so we recommend using
the tightVNC server.
This application is useful for servicing and commissioning the system. The
settings can also be adapted for purely machine visualisations. Alternatively,
we recommend the applications Chromium (kiosk), Static Page or Static Page
(custom) for purely machine visualisations.
The VNC Viewer has two display modes for the computer screen:
– Fit window mode
– Full screen mode
Fit window mode
The computer's screen is displayed in the VNC Viewer window. If there are
multiple screens, the screens are displayed side by side, and the user must
scroll using the scroll bars in the VNC Viewer window. There is a menu bar
for operating the VNC Viewer as well as the remote computer.
Full screen mode
The computer screen is displayed over the full screen. If there is more than
one screen, the displays are shown side by side. There is a menu bar for the
operating the VNC Viewer as well as the remote computer.
After configuration in the setting tool, the display window of the VNC Viewer
provides further settings and operating options, see Chapter 11.4.

Chromium
The Chromium application can be used with the menu bar. In addition, the
context menu can be opened to change the settings. This application is useful
for servicing and commissioning the system.
For machine visualisation, and if changes are not desired, we recommend the
applications Chromium (kiosk), Static Page and Static Page (custom).
