• Ensure that the frequency characteristics of the tape being used
meet
normal
standards.
• Ensure that the tape being used is not split or damaged, and avoid
-recording on the leading 30 seconds and trailing 30 seconds of the
tape.
• Switch to battery power for the interface unit if satisfactory record-
ing cannot be performed using AC power.
• Always ensure that the computer is securely connected to the in-
terface unit and never remove connectors
tions. Always switch the power of the computer OFF before
disconnecting
connectors.
• Use the same recorder for playback and recording. Playback may
be impossible when the recorder used for playback is different from
that used for recording.
• Exercise normal care when storing recorded tapes to avoid stretch-
ing of the tape and other damage. Damaged tapes may not play-
back properly.
• Whenever a printer is connected, always switch the power of the
printer (or recorder) ON first.
• Strong vibration or impact, or disconnection of the computer or AC
adaptor during execution of recorder SAVE or LOAD commands
may cause malfunction of the remote function and continuous oper-
ation of the recorder. In such a case, normal remote function oper-
ations can be attained by manually stopping
executing a recorder command, and then pressing the @ key of
the computer.
