Recommended service life
It is recommended to replace the smoke detector at the
latest when the date indicated on the back of the device
is reached.

Maintenance
The HmIP-SWSD-2 Smoke Alarm is a type-B smoke de-
tector, i.e. an on-site inspection must be carried out at
least every 30 months. In the inspection, the following
properties must be tested:
•
Warning signal functioning
•
Check that the smoke inlet openings are free (e.g.
covers, soiling by fluff and dust)
•
Check that the smoke detector is free of obstruc-
tions within a range of 0.5 m around the device so
that the penetration of smoke into the device is
guaranteed (e.g. obstruction by furnishings)
