The optical signal (G) only serves as emergency
lighting and is not suitable for room lighting.
Wireless connection to other smoke detectors
The HmIP-SWSD-2 Smoke Alarm is intended for use in
a network with other smoke detectors of the same type
(HmIP-SWSD-2 and HmIP-SWSD). In a Homematic IP
installation, up to 40 smoke detectors can be used in
combination with the Homematic IP Access Point. This
provides an extra level of safety because, in the event
of fire, the device simultaneously sends a smoke alarm
wirelessly to all smoke detectors of the same type within
wireless range.
