Function and device overview
The HmIP-SWSD-2 is a smoke alarm intended for use in
households, apartment buildings, apartments or for simi-
lar applications in residential areas or areas with residen-
tial-like use. The device works on the basis of the pho-
toelectric scattered light principle. This enables fire and
dangerous smoke gases to be detected at an early stage
and a warning to be given in good time.
The alarm is given by an integrated siren and a red flash-
ing LED being triggering. An additional LED serves as
emergency lighting in the event of an alarm and provides
additional orientation in the event of a power failure.
