Test
& Silence
Button
The Test & Silence button is used to test the unit's electronics and to si ence the unit during an alarm. When testing
the a arm weekly, press the test button until you hear a short beep, indicating that the alarm hasentered the test
mode.
Note: After a test has begun, the alarm will sound and the red LED will flash. This does not indicate
smoke/CO is present.
f you press the test button during an alarm state, the unit wil enter the si ence mode.
CO silence mode: pressthe test button during an alarm state, the unit wil enter the sience mode. If the CO density

Sounder
The alarm will sound when there is smoke or CO present, when testing the alarm, and when there isa fault.
LED Indicator
The LED indicator wil flash in conjunction
with the alarm sounder. Therefore, it wil flash during the fol owing states:
when powering on, in standby mode, during smoke or CO a arm states, when exiting an alarm state, during test mode,
when there is ow battery, in si ence mode, when there is a fau t and when the unit is at the end of its life.
Low Battery
The LED indicator wil flash yel ow together with one beep every 60 seconds.
