Mechanical alignment
As indicated on Fig. 3 check the head azimuth, front and profile (a+ b). The tape-to-head contact should
make a right angle with the dotted line (c).

Clean and degauss the heads as well as the tape guide elements.
Use the TC playback alignment tape, order no. 46015.
Connect the oscilloscope probe to TP8 (Pin 1 IC U4A) located on the TC analogue circuit PCB
1.777.101.02.
Offset the tape slightly up and down manually. If any level gain is achieved, the mechanical
alignment must be rechecked. A reading of approx. 800 mV should be achieved.
