Safety
■ A cell or battery must not
be removed from its origi-
nal packaging before it is
to be used.
■ Secondary cells and bat-
teries need to be charged
before use. Always use the
correct charger and refer
to the manufacturer's in-
structions or equipment
manual for proper charg-
ing instructions.
■ Do not use chargers oth-
er than those specifi cally
provided for use with the
equipment.
■ Do not leave cells and bat-
teries on prolonged charge
when not in use.
■ After extended periods
of storage, it may be nec-
essary to charge and dis-
charge the cells or batter-
ies several times to obtain
maximum performance.
■ Observe the plus (+) and
minus (–) marks on the cell,
batteries and equipment
and ensure correct use.
■ Do not use cells or batter-
ies which are not designed
for use with the appliance.
■ Do not mix cells of differ-
ent manufacture, capacity,
size or type within an ap-
pliance.
■ Always use the battery rec-
ommended by the appli-
ance manufacturer.
■ When possible, remove
batteries from appliances
when they are not in use.
■ Before disposing of an ap-
pliance, remove and sepa-
rately dispose of batteries
and rechargeable batteries
which are not permanently
built into the device.
■ Only dispose of batteries
and rechargeable batter-
ies in a discharged state.
■ If possible, use rechargea-
ble batteries instead of dis-
posable batteries.
