MODE switch 1-5 (direction switch)
This switch is used to change the phase relationship between the encoder input signal and A/
B phase output signal. For more information, see the section "3-3-3. Direction switching."
MODE switches 1-6 and MODE switches 2-1 and 2-2 (setting switches 1, 2,
and 3 for number of divisions)
These switches are used to set the number of divisions.
The number of divisions can be set to eight levels according to the setting of three switches.
For more information, see the section "3-3-1. Setting the number of divisions."
MODE switch 2-3 (switch for hysteresis per unit resolution)
This switch is used to enable hysteresis for the resolution (resolution = 1/number of divisions)
that was set using mode switche 1-6 and mode switches 2-1 and 2-2.
For more information, see the section "3-8. Setting the hysteresis."
MODE switch 2-4 (alarm mode switch)
This switch is used to select the alarm output mode.
For more information, see the section "3-7. Alarm signal."
MODE switches 2-5 and 2-6 (minimum phase difference 1 and 2 switches)
These switches are used to minimum phase difference time for the A/B phase that is output.
The phase difference time can be set to one of four settings. If the A/B phase difference is
shorter than the time that is set, a speed alarm is generated.
For more information, see the section "3-5. Setting the minimum phase difference."
