RuleMate B ilgepumps have built-inprogramming thatcansense whenthepumpis runningbut
notpumping water t o protect thepump, v essel, andthevessel's batteries. If debris foulsthesensor
orthepumpbecomes air-bound, thepumpwillstoprunningandbegin to "check" forwater every
2 1/2 minutes. Once thedebris isremoved, thepumpwill revert to its normal o peration, turningon
whenthewater reaches approximately 2 1/2" andshutting offat 5/8".
OurRuleMatebi gepumpscontain afail-safe back-up program that measures the amountof
workthe motoris performing andthe lengthof timethe motoris running.If debris, s uchas
a wet paper t owelor leaves, b ecame lodgedagainst t he pump,it could"trick"the pumpinto
thinkingwater remained inthe bilgewhichcoud deplete thevessel's b attery.
If the circuitboardsenses t he motoris runningbutdoinq little work(notpumpingwater) f or
longer t hanfifteen seconds, thepump willenter i ntoacycling mode inthesame f ashion asthe
computerized p umps. T hepumpwill sense water every 2.5minutes andif it senses w ater, i twill
continue to rununtilthewaterhasbeenremoved f romthebilge.
Afterthedebrisisremoved, thepumpwill automatically r evert t o the level s ensing mode.
