DISASSEMBLY
Caution:
Prior to the disassembly, be sure to remove the AC adaptor,
battery, cassette tape, plug, etc. from the unit.
FM/CASSETTE
PLAYER
PART
1. Removal of Cassette Compartment
Open
the
cassette
compartment
by
pushing
the
eject
button.
Then,
remove
three
screws
from
the
cassette
compartment.
(See Fig: 6—1.)
2. Removal of Upper Ornamental Plate
As shown
in Fig. 6—2, remove the fast forward knob and
then four screws at the upper ornamental plate.
Then
open
the cassette
compartment
and
holding down
the frame above the playback head (to keep the frame's
hook
settled down), take the upper ornamental
plate off.
3. Removal of Rear Cabinet
1) Make sure that the cassette compartment
and the upper
Ornamental
plate
have
been
removed
from
the unit.
2) Remove
four screws
from
the rear cabinet.
(See Fig.
6-3.)
3) As shown in Fig. 6—4, take the rear cabinet off.
4. Removal of P.W.Board
1) Make
sure
that
the
cassette
compartment
and
the
upper
ornamental
plate have been
removed
from
the
unit.
2) Remove
a screw at the P.W.board
and a jumper lead
wire. (See Fig. 6—5.)
AM/AMPLIFIER
PART
1, Removal of Rear Cabinet
1) Set the function selector switch at "AM'', the balance
control
knob
and
the
AM
volume
control
knob
at
"center" position.
2. Removal of P.W.Board
1) Put the AM/Amplifier part in a state of the rear cabinet
removing.
2) Using the bladed screwdriver, as not to injure the front
cabinet, remove the function selector knob, the balance
control
knob
and AM
volume control knob from the
slot of the front cabinet. (See Fig. 6—7.)
3) Remove
AM
tuning control
knob, two terminal
P.W.
boards and two screws at the P.W.board.
4) Take out the metal fittings at P.W.board, and P.W.board
can be removed from the front cabinet.

PART
1. Removal of Rear Lid
As shown in Fig. 6—9, remove a screw at the rear lid, and
then take the rear lid off by using a blanded screwdriver.
