1. Switch the engine off.
2. Place the device on the ground in a stable
position and ensure that no fuel escapes.

3. Press the lock button (16) to lock the
uptake spindle (48).
4. Loosen the nut (39). Remove the clamp-
ing disk (40), washer (41) and 3-tooth
blade (26).
5. Place the new 3-tooth blade (26) on the
uptake spindle (48) or turn over the old
3-tooth blade (26). The blade can be
used on both sides.
6. Fasten the 3-tooth blade with washer
(41), clamping disk (40) and nut (39).
The maintenance key (30) can be used
to tighten the nut (39).
Changing the clearing blade:
The silver protective cover
must be fitted when using the
clearing blade (see section: "Fitting
the protective cover").
1. Switch the engine off.
2. Place the device on the ground in a stable
position and ensure that no fuel escapes.

3. Press the lock button (16) to lock the
uptake spindle (48).
4. Loosen the nut (39). Remove the clamp-
ing disk (40), washer (41) and clearing
blade (17).
5. Place the new clearing blade (17) on
the uptake spindle (48). The inscription
on the blade must be visible to the user
during use!
6. Fasten the clearing blade with washer
(41), clamping disk (40) and nut (39).
The maintenance key (30) can be used
to tighten the nut (39).
Cleaning the Air Filter
Never operate the equipment with-
out the air filter otherwise dust and
dirt enter the engine and result in damage
to the machine. Keep the air filter clean.
1. Switch off the engine.
2. Undo the screw (8) on the air filter cov-
er (9) and take off the air filter cover
(9) from the air filter housing (57).
3. Remove the air filter (56) from the air
filter housing (57).
4. Clean the filter (56) with soap and wa-
ter and allow it to dry in the air
Never use petrol for cleaning!
Replace the air filter (56) if it is
worn, damaged or dirty (see
"Spare parts/Accessories").
The grid acts as a spacer and
has to be inserted in the air filter
housing (57) first, if it falls out when re-
moving the air filter (56).
5. Insert the two lugs on the air filter cover
(9) into the tabs on the air filter housing
(57).
6. Fold the air filter cover (9) over the air
filter housing (57).
7. Fix the air filter cover (9) with the screw
(8).
Changing / Adjusting the
Spark Plug
Worn spark plugs or a spark gap
that is too great will result in a
power reduction of the engine.
1. Switch off the equipment.
2. Take the spark plug connector (1) off of
the spark plug (58).
