near fences, metal posts or similar.

Installing the protective
cover
Never use the device without
the protective cover correctly
installed! Risk of injury.
Fit protective cover for 3-tooth blade/
spool (Fig.
1. Position the black protective cover (24)
for the 3-tooth blade/spool on the shaft
mount (43).
2. Screw the 4 screws (42) into the protec-
tive cover (24) for 3-tooth blade/spool
using the (smaller) 4 mm hex key (31).

2. Remove the protective cover (24) for
the 3-tooth blade/spool.

Fit protective cover for clearing blade
(Fig.

1. Position the silver protective cover (15)
for the clearing blade on the cutting
head.
2. Screw the 3 screws (44) into the protec-
tive cover (15) for the clearing blade
using the (smaller) 4 mm hex key (31).

(smaller) 4 mm hex key (31).
2. Remove the protective cover (15).
Fitting the Two-Part Tube
Assembly (Fig.
1. Loosen the tube fixing screw (18) on
the top shaft tube (19).
2. Push the lower shaft tube (14) as far as
possible into the upper shaft tube (19).
3. Push the lock (45) and slide the lower
shaft tube (14) as far as it goes into the
upper shaft tube (19).
4. Turn the lower shaft tube (14) with a
gentle rotating movement until the lock
(45) clicks into place in the bore on the
upper shaft tube (19).
5. Retighten the tube fixing screws (18) by
hand.
Ensure that the bottom shaft tube is
sitting firmly and safely before start-
ing the equipment.

1. Loosen the tube's mounting screw (18).
2. Push the lock (45).
3. Pull the shaft tubes apart.
