HARDWARE INSTALLATION
Because there are large differences between PC's, we can give you only a general installation
guide for the EX-1318. Please refer your computer's reference manual whenever in doubt.
1. Connect the EX-1318 to the A-Port at your PC.
2. Now you can connect a network cable at the EX-1318.
DRIVER INSTALLATION
Windows XP/ Vista/ 7/ 8.x/ 10/
Windows Server 2003 & 2008R2 & 2012
After the hardware installation is complete, the operating system recognizes the EX-1318 and
displays it as "USB 10/100/1000 LAN" in the device manager. Now the EX-1318 needs the
correct drivers. The following window will automatically appear:

Search for: EX-1318
Alternatively, scan the QR code on the right:
CHECK INSTALLED DRIVER
Open the >Device manager<. Now you should see at „Ethernet Adapter" the following new
entry:
If you see this or a similar information the device is installed correctly.
Windows 11
After the hardware installation, the operating system will recognize the device automatically and
install the drivers.

CLEANING
For cleaning please use only a dry fluff less cloth and remove the dirt with gently pressure. In
the area of the connectors please make sure that no fibres from the cloth remain in the connect-
ors. Attention! Never use a moist or wet cloth for cleaning!

Die EX-1318 verfügt über einen USB-3.2-Gen-1-C-Stecker zum Anschluss an den PC sowie
über einen RJ45-Port. Die EX-1318 ermöglicht Ihnen die einfache Einbindung Ihres Desktop-
PCs oder Notebooks in ein 10/100/1000-Mbps-Netzwerk oder den Anschluss eines Endgeräts.
Der USB-Anschluss unterstützt alle Versionen von USB 1.1 bis 3.1. Die EX-1318 gewährleistet
eine sichere Datenübertragung und eine exzellente Performance von bis zu 5 Gbit pro Sekunde
auf der USB-Schnittstelle. Der RJ45-Anschluss wird durch einen Realtek-Chipset unterstützt. Er
unterstützt den Bus-Powered-Modus. Eine manuelle Einstellung der I/O-Adressen und Inter-
rupts ist nicht möglich, da die Einstellungen vom System (BIOS) und beim Installieren des
Betriebssystems automatisch vorgenommen werden.
