Intended use

The Skyline protector SKY 17 is designed for protecting the back of paraglider pilots
and shall help to prevent bad injuries during unsuccessful starts or landings.
Description
The protector SKY 17 is consist of a shock-absorbing special foam, 3 air
chambers und a nylon shell. The inner foam is 5% larger than the outer shell and
effects the bloated appearance - this helps to realize a lower overall height. In
association with the sterical designed outer cells it gives best impact/load data to
the protector.
It delayed presses the stored air out of the air chambers and destroys mostly the
appearing impact energy.
This does not exclude a risk of injury completely, but significantly reduces this
risk.
Fitting instruction
The harness Racer is
delivered with built-in
protector. You can remove
the protector by opening
the zipper in the harness
stowage pocket. You have
to mind that the protector
has to inserted in the
destined pocket (nylon
"tube"). First move the
protector completely thru
the zipper in the stowage
pocket. Then insert the
protector by compressing
into the nylon tube.
Operating instruction
Especially during safety trainings above water the
protector should be removed.
Because of the buoyancy of the protector the pilot
could be in a head down position inside the water.
In addition the protector sucks itself full with water
and pulls the pilots downward.
