Ironing With and Without Mains Cable
You can use this iron both with and without a mains cable.
For cordless ironing, push both release buttons (4) on the adapter. The iron will separate
from the adapter.
To iron with the mains cord, place the iron back on the adapter. It must audibly lock into
place.
If the mains cable is connected to the iron during ironing, the set temperature is main-
tained constantly and at all times. The device works like a conventional iron.
In the case of cordless ironing, the temperature drops after a little while. The
iron needs to be placed on the adapter at regular intervals (approx. 2 to 6 minutes) and
connected to the adapter so that the set temperature is maintained. The intervals are
slightly longer with dry-ironing than they are with steam-ironing.
Filling the Water Reservoir
CAUTION!
■ Always pull out the mains plug before you top up/empty the water reservoir. Always
pull the plug and never the cable.
■ Use tap water. Distilled water may have an adverse effect on the integrated lime-
scale fi lter.
■ Never pour any additives into the water reservoir. This could destroy the device and
safe working is no longer guaranteed.
■ Never exceed the maximum fi ll level (note max marking on the water reservoir!).
The water reservoir needs to be fi lled for steam-ironing or spraying. If you only want to
dry-iron, there is no need for this.
1. Make sure that the device is not connected to the mains power. (Remove the adapt-
er.) Move the steam quantity control (11) to position 0 (no steam) and the tempera-
ture control (15) to position MIN (off) (turn MIN (off) to marking (14)).
2. Flip open the water reservoir cap (10). Please note that it cannot be completely de-
tached from the device.
3. Fill the reservoir up to the max marking with tap water. It holds approx. 300 ml.
4. Firmly shut the water reservoir cap. It must engage audibly.
Heating Up the Iron
1. Check the label in the garment for the required ironing temperature (see the "Ironing
Recommendations" chapter) and set this temperature using the temperature con-
trol (15).
2. Move the steam quantity control (11) to position 0 (no steam).
