Cause
Rollers were not washed before first use. 1. Wash rollers at 60 °C in the washing ma-

The rollers are not sufficiently moistened. 1. Moisten the rollers.
The wrong detergent or dosage used.
There are residues of foreign detergents
on the floor.
The device's hoses are dirty.
The hair filters are dirty.
The hair filters are not seated properly in
the device.

The waste water tank is full.
The waste water tank is not seated prop-
erly in the device.
The hair filters are not seated properly in

The waste water tank is damaged.
The automatic device shutdown is acti-
vated when the waste water tank has ex-
ceeded a volume of 200 ml.
The use of detergents from other manu-
facturers can lead to excessive foam for-
mation and the device shutdown is
activated before 200 ml is reached.
The knobs on the underside of the waste
water tank are damaged or worn.
Bluetooth is switched off on one of the
two devices.
The distance between the smartphone
and the device is too great.
The pairing process was performed in the
wrong order.
The device and the app are not connect-
ed via Bluetooth.
The part or serial number was not en-
tered correctly during manual registra-
tion.
The cloud registration service is currently

1. Clean the rollers.
a Activate the Boost mode, see General
information on operation.
b Move the device back and forth until the
rollers are sufficiently moistened.
1. Use only KÄRCHER detergents and en-
sure the correct dosage.
1. Thoroughly remove detergent residues
from the rollers with water.
2. Clean the floor several times using the de-
vice and clean rollers, without using deter-
gent.
This removes all detergent residues from
the floor.
1. Start the rinsing process, see Floor head
cleaning by means of rinsing process.
1. Clean the hair filters, see Cleaning the hair
filters.
1. Insert the hair filters correctly into the de-
vice.
1. Replace the rollers.
1. Empty the waste water tank immediately.
1. Insert the waste water tank in the device so
that it audibly latches into place. The waste
water tank must sit firmly in the device.
1. Check that the hair filters are inserted cor-
rectly.
1. Contact the authorized Customer Service.
1. Empty the waste water tank.
2. Use only KÄRCHER detergents and en-
sure the correct dosage.
1. Contact the authorized Customer Service.
1. Switch on Bluetooth on both devices.
1. Make sure that the distance between the
device and the smartphone is no more than
10 metres.
1. Start the pairing process on the device first
and then in the app. The pairing menu can
be found in the device settings.
1. Check if the device and the app are con-
nected via Bluetooth. The connection can
be established via the FC 8 device card in
the app.
1. Check the part and serial number entered.
Both numbers are located on the underside
of the floor head.
1. Try registering again at a later time.
