RIDA QUICK SCAN II

By tapping the printer symbol at the top right hand corner of the screen a PDF results file is created,
which can be exported via the Backup function (Section 4.6). The waste bin symbol enables
deletion of the measurement displayed.
The displayed "validity" of the measurement is positive if no error message was generated during
the measurement. In particular it is also negative if the lot information shows that the expiry date of
the test has been exceeded.

4.9 Sub-Menu "Standby"

After tapping "Standby" the RIDA
switched off and the status LED flashes green.
Operation can be resumed by tapping any point on the screen.

5 Connecting reading devices

The USB port at the rear of the RIDA
reader or a barcode scanner for reading in the lot and the method information, as well as for data
export via USB flash drive. The RIDA

Only reading devices specially approved for the RIDA
used (refer to the section "Technical Data"). Upon first use the barcode scanner
has to be configured according to the manufacturer's Quick Guide. Therefore
please scan the barcode "USB Serial" after the barcode scanner is attached to
the RIDA

devices when supplied with external power. Otherwise, the instrument will not
boot correctly or it will turn itself off.
In order for the reading device to be correctly recognized it must either already be connected
when the system is started or the RIDA
be connected in any sub-menu.

6 Performing firmware updates

Firmware updates must be performed if, for example, new software functions are available, or
possible software faults are to be corrected. In this case use an USB flash drive containing all of the
files necessary for the update.
The RIDA
always use the supplied mains unit to power the RIDA

• To initiate an update, press the recessed "OPT" button on the rear of the RIDA
several times as the company logo appears. The update is performed then automatically.
