4.7 Sub-Menu "Measurement"

To initiate a measurement, first select a method from displayed list of methods stored on the

RIDA QUICK SCAN II and then a lot that is saved on the RIDA
can then either be entered manually or read in via the barcode.
If the method to be used is not in the selection field, it must first be read in via
"Read Lot / Method" (Section 4.6).

The RIDA QUICK SCAN II then prompts you to insert a sample or to confirm that a sample has
been inserted. Proceed as follows to insert a sample:

Slightly press in the ribbed surface of the front plate of the drawer until it audibly unlocks:

Then pull out the drawer as far as the stop.

Mounts are built into the drawer, which enable secure insertion of the sample holder. Place a
prepared sample holder into the corresponding mount with the test strip facing upwards and
press it down firmly so that it is securely held.
Please take care that no excess fluid runs out of the sample holder and into the
drawer! If this does happen, please clean any residual fluid from the drawer
before closing it.
If the drawer is open or will be opened to insert a sample holder, a diagram is
displayed on the screen showing the correct orientation of an inserted sample
holder.
