Installing the device

Prior to installation

Check the scope of delivery for damage.
Do not operate the device if you discover damage on
the device.
If damage is discovered on the device, contact the
superrollo customer service.

Recommendations

In the case of sluggish roller shutters, additionally use a
guide pulley for the belt. The guide pulley is mounted
on the roller shutter box, and ensures that the belt runs
straight. This avoids friction and wear. A suitable guide
pulley is available as an accessory. An overview of the
accessories available for this device can be found on
page 65.
Check whether the device can be installed vertically
using the existing drill holes.
If the device cannot be installed vertically on the wall
using the existing drill holes, drill new holes.
Install the device in such a way that the belt runs
precisely vertically into the device.

Required tools

Additional tools are required to install the device. Keep
the following tools ready for installation:
■ Standard screwdriver
■ Phillips screwdriver
■ Scissors
■ Folding metre rule or measuring tape
■ Pencil.
The following tools are additionally required to drill new
holes:
■ Drill
■ 6 mm masonry drill bit.
Dismantling an existing roller shutter belt
winder
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to the spring in the
roller shutter belt winder snapping
back.
Close the roller shutter completely.
Make sure that all slats are completely
closed.
Make sure that the spring in the roller
shutter belt winder is relaxed.
Dismantle the roller shutter belt winder.
Unwind the belt.
Release the belt completely.

Installing the mains connection cable

DANGER
Fatal electric shock due to coming into
contact with live components.
Do not carry out any connection work on
the device when it is connected to the
current supply.
Make sure that the device is
disconnected from the mains power
supply.
