Sealing the GFRP frame with the integrated front spoiler
•
Mask the areas for the sealing seams (width approx. 6 mm) inside and outside on the GFRP frame, the front
spoiler and the vehicle with adhesive tape (see Abb. 7-1, 1).
•
Adhesive surface thoroughly clean (Sika Remover 208).
•
Activating the bonding surface (Sika Activator-205, flash-off time: 10 minutes (activation lasts 2 hours)).
•
Seal seams (a total of 4 cartridges):
•
Smooth the seams with a joint smoother or a finger with Sika Tooling Agent N or soapy water.
•
Remove the adhesive tape immediately after completing the adhesive seams.
•
The seams should look like those in (2 – 5).
•
Let the adhesive bond harden overnight.
