GFRP frame with spoiler adjustment
•
Insert the vertical elevating roof into the roof cut-out when it is closed.
•
Check the accuracy of fit to the cut-out, rework if necessary and align the roof.
•
Mark the position of the lifting roof on the vehicle roof.
•
Select he cut edge in such a way,
o
that at the lowest point at least 3 mm distance remains for reinforcement in the frame.
o
that the cut edge is on the vehicle roof, leaving a small margin for grouting.
o
that the inner frame to the roof cladding does not sit too high.
•
Align the frame evenly on all 4 corners, outside and inside, parallel to the roof, if necessary, with small battens.
•
Mark the cut edge at the desired position on the frame, using a parallel scribe or a small plate at the appropriate
height.
•
Cut the frame at the tear line, check the fit,
o
If the line is within the visible range, leave 1 - 2 mm and do a fine sanding up to the crack.
o
If the line is not in the visible area, unevenness of 1 - 2 mm will later be covered by the Sika joint. The
more accurately the cut edge fits, the easier the jointing will be later.
