Preparation of the GFRP frame
•
Insert the elevating roof into the roof cut-out.
•
Drill the four holes (see Abb. 5-1, 1) for the fixing screws through the GFRP frame and the vehicle roof from
above (6.5 mm). The holes can also be offset if there are bows in the way.
•
Clean the holes thoroughly and treat them with corrosion protection agent.
•
Check the distance between the GFRP frame and the vehicle roof and, if necessary, fill it up with spacer plates
to reduce the distance for bonding, especially at the bolting points (see Abb. 6-2)
