MASTERCARE – THE SWEDISH BACK CARE SYSTEM
Mastercare – The Swedish Back Care System is a tool, which helps you to prevent and relieve pain from
back, neck, shoulders and knees, as well as wearing out of joints.
The construction of Mastercare – The Swedish Back Care System with a movable back rest, transforms your
body weight into traction power, which relieves discs and joints. Simultaneously, movements on the table
involves strain of muscles, muscular attachments, tendons, ligaments and cruciate ligaments. At the
beginning this will cause slight stiffness and ache, a sign that the parts are too short or too week. These parts
need to be built up and therefore it is important not to stop training, even if/when you will be stiff after
training. Daily use of Mastercare – The Swedish Back Care System can give you a healthier life.
The table is designed for use by one person at a time. When you start your training for the first time, use the
table in the presence of a person, who is familiar with the functions of the table.
Be sensitive to the signals from your body. Consult with your doctor or physiotherapist, if you start aching,
feel uncomfortable or notice any unusual changes that you think might prevent you from using the table.
Don't exercise on the table immediately after a meal or if you have a temperature, a cold or severe head- or
earache.
If you are uncertain about the state of your health or suffer from any of the following conditions, ALWAYS
consult your doctor before starting a regular use of the table:
Glaucoma, detached retina, conjunctivitis, uncontrolled hypertension (high blood pressure), impaired
pulmonary functions, arrhytmia, carotid artery stenosis, severe vascular disease, aneurysm, tendency
towards fainting or dizzy spells, cerebral sclerosis, recent stroke or transient ischemic attack, history of
brain lesions, other heart and circulatory disorders for which you are being treated, severe back problems
or spinal injuries, bone weakness (osteoporosis), recent unhealed fractures, medullary pins, artificial hip
joints or other orthopedic supports surgically implanted, middle ear infection, recently had major surgery,
using special medication, ventral or hiatal hernia, tendency towards bleeding, extreme obesity,
invertaphobia (fear of inversion itself).
Using the table
Before using the table on your own, you should acquire the proper know-how.
Check that:
- the table is mounted with stretched cords (see assembly instructions 1B)
- it stands on a level, horizontal surface
- all nuts and bolts are securely fastened
- the foot lock is working perfectly
Mastercare – The Swedish Back Care System is designed for persons with a height of 135-215 cm and
a maximum weight of 150 kg.
