The TransSteel VRD option is a safety device for monitoring output voltage. If the open cir-

Compatibility
The TransSteel VRD option can be installed into the following power sources

There is a risk that the TransSteel VRD option may malfunction if the power source
software version is incorrect.
This can result in serious personal injury and damage to property.
► Make sure that the power source being used has software version V1.19.8 or higher.
Redundant monitoring of the actual current and voltage values
The option is automatically detected by the power source
If the welding circuit resistance falls below 200 R, the option is deactivated automati-
cally
After the end of welding, the option is automatically active after:
-
0.3 seconds if the electrode welding process is selected
-
2 seconds if the MIG/MAG welding process is selected
The LED of the chosen welding process flashes during welding
TransSteel 3500 Syn (but not TransSteel 3500 MV Syn)
