Testo pH electrodes are quality-products manu factured with the
latest technology.Their full lifetime and accuracy can only be
guaranteed if the following points are adhered to.
Please report any damage that might have occurred during
transport to your Testo sales office imme diately .
The lifetime of pH Electrodes is strongly dependent on the
measuring conditions. Especially high temperatures and
aggressive samples can reduce their lifetime.
The electrodes can be expected to last for up to 3 years in ideal
conditions and for 1 to 3 months at 80°C. Slow aging also occurs
during storage.
Electrodes with a polymer shaft have limited chemical inertness.
Prolonged contact with concentrated acids, bases and alcohols
is to be avoided. Ethers, esters, ketones and aromatic as well as
halogenated hydrocarbons attack the shaft material and should
not come into contact with the electrode.
In designing Testo pH Electrodes, attention was given to their
environmentally safe disposal. In contrast to many commercially
available pH electrodes, no toxic or environmentally hazardous
components are used. A defective electrode should be sent
directly back to Testo, or disposed of in a separate collection of
electrical and electronic appliances according to 2002/96/EC.
