What is the CODE! Key or the Metabo CODE! System?
The Metabo CODE! System is an electronic anti-theft device
with which you can lock your Metabo machines (if fitted with
CODE!) to protect them from abuse. Once locked, a machine
can no longer operate and therefore cannot be used by a
potential thief. You can protect all your Metabo equipment
(featuring the CODE! facility) using just one CODE! key
by transferring the code onto all your power tools and
equipment one unit after the other.
Important note! Always send your Metabo machine (with
CODE! equipment) unlocked
your repairer receives the machine locked, it is impossible
for him to repair or service the machine! After receipt of the
repaired CODE! machine, it might be necessary to reprogram
the CODE! machine with the code you wish to have.
Please follow the instructions in the following chapters to put the
CODE! Key into operation.

Safety instructions for batteries
Warning: Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed call your
doctor immediately. Battery may explode or leck if recharged or
disposed of in fire.
Start by inserting battery / replace battery
• Open housing and carefully remove PC board.
• Insert the battery beneath the battery retainer (on the underside
of the PC board), ensuring the polarity is correct: the positive
pole (+) must point towards the battery retainer.
