02_CODE_Key_ENG
Battery condition indicator:
Replace the battery if the lamp (6) no longer lights up when the
keys are pressed. The machine can then be opened and closed
at least 50 more times. You can buy spare batteries at service
stations or electrical shops. Recycle used batteries instead of
putting them in the bin.
Problems, faults:
•
4 brief acoustic signals sound:
a) The power plug on your electric tool must be plugged in.
b) Did you hold the CODE! key by the machine correctly?
I.e. hold the CODE! key no more than approx. 15 cm. from
the power tool so that the sender (5) in the CODE! key is
vertically aligned with the machines receiver (4). A black
point near the power tool's LED (3) marks the receiver (4).
See fig. on page 3.
c) If the machine already has a code: has this code been set
at all 3 code wheels (7)?
d) For some procedures, you must press both keys
simultaneously for at least 3 seconds (consult the
relevant chapter if necessary). Note: use both thumbs to
press the keys - one per key.
•
Code forgotten: Your Metabo dealer will help you. If you did
not enter the code in the table, you may have to send the
machine into Metabo so it can be unlocked.
•
No acoustic signal sounds: Battery empty? Battery inserted
wrong way round? You can buy spare batteries at service
stations or electrical shops.
•
The LED (3) on the machine flashes continuously: The
machine is locked. The re-start up safety device may be
active - switch machine off and then switch it on again
(LED stops flashing).
