Do not switch gears when the drill driver
is running, this can damage it.
TORQUE SETTING
The torque can be adjusted in 20 steps with the
torque ring.
Turn the ring so that the required marking is
opposite the arrow on the casing.
IMPORTANT:
The clutch slips when the drill driver has
reached the set torque.
SCREW DRIVING
1.
Turn the torque setting ring to the
required position.
2.
Press the bit against the screw head.
3.
Start the product at low speed and
gradually increase the speed. Release the
power switch immediately if the clutch
trips.
NOTE:
•
Hold the drill driver with the bit in line
with the screw, otherwise the screw
and/or bit can be damaged.
IMPORTANT:
•
When screwing in wood, predrill the
hole with a drill with a diameter 2/3 of
the screw diameter to make screw
driving easier and to prevent the
workpiece splintering or cracking.
•
If the drill driver is used continuously
until the battery is discharged, wait 15
minutes before using it again with a
fully charged battery.
DRILLING
Drilling in wood
Use wood drills with screw tips for best results.
The screw tip pulls the drill into the workpiece,
which simplifies drilling.
34
1.
Turn the torque ring so that the drill
symbol is opposite the arrow on the
casing.
2.
Place the tip of the drill in the marking
and start drilling.
Drilling in metal
1.
Turn the torque ring so that the drill
symbol is opposite the arrow on the
casing.
2.
Mark the drilling point with a punch to
prevent the drill slipping.
3.
Place the tip of the drill in the marking
and start drilling.
WARNING!
•
Reaction forces make the drill driver
twist sharply and suddenly when the bit
breaks through. Hold the drill driver in a
firm grip and be careful when the drill
reaches the underside of the workpiece.
•
If the drill jams, switch off the drill
driver, set the rotation selector to left
drive, and start the driver to pull out the
drill. Hold the drill driver in a firm grip, it
can move back quickly.
•
Secure small workpieces with vice,
clamp or the equivalent, so that they
cannot move.
NOTE:
•
Use cutting oil when drilling in metal.
Iron and brass should be drilled without
cutting oil.
•
If the drill driver is used continuously
until the battery is discharged, wait 15
minutes before using it again with a
fully charged battery.
SAFETY SYSTEM
The drill driver has a safety system that
automatically switches off the power supply
to the motor to prolong the battery life. The
drill driver switches off automatically in the
following situations.
