5 Instrument Calibration
The instrument comes with a calibration standard and test standard for color and gloss.
Each tile has a dedicated serial number matching your instrument. Use these tiles to mon-
itor the performance of your instrument. The instrument will guide you through the pro-
cedure.
1. Place standards and instrument on a stable base.
2. Select Configuration > Calibration > Perform diagnosis.
3. Place instrument on green color test standard and keep it steady.
4. Confirm with checkmark or press button Operate.
5. If diagnosis passes, repeat with black gloss test standard.
6. If diagnosis passes, instrument can be used to measure.
7. If diagnosis fails, clean standard and repeat procedure.
8. If diagnosis fails, click on Calibrate and follow instructions.
When the auto diagnosis interval has expired (after 4 weeks), the instrument displays a
message when it is switched on.
NOTICE
To monitor your test equipment: Tap on Add to standard list to store it as a test stand-
ard in the instrument memory und measure it in regular intervals.
