EXTERNAL TEMPERATURE ALARM FUNCTION
There are three floating contacts on the back of the unit
that can be used to trigger an additional external tem-
perature alarm (visual or audible).
Pressing the
key in an alarm situation only switches
off the internal audible alarm. The key does not interfe-
re with the external alarm. The external alarm signal is
only switched off once the cause of the alarm has been
eliminated.
A voltage of between 12V DC and a maximum of 250V
AC can be connected at the contacts. The maximum
load must not exceed 8A. The minimum power rating is 500mA / 12V AC.
RS485 INTERFACE
Depending on the fittings provided, the unit may have an RS485 interface. You
can use this interface to connect the unit to a PC or to network it to other refri-
gerating equipment.
It is possible to add the interface to any of the units later on.
For information about connection options and software, contact your local ser-
vice centre.
EXTERNAL POWER FAILURE ALARM
As well as an external temperature alarm, it is also possible to subsequently fit an external alarm for power
failure. For information about the connection options, please contact your local service centre.
DEFROSTING & CLEANING
The moisture in the air, which enters the cabinet due to lid opening (and also may be due to defective lid-
gasket or door alignment) is attracted by the cold surfaces inside. So, formation of frost and ice occurs on
the walls around the icepacks inside the icepack-compartment. When the frost layer is 6-12 mm thick, it is
time for defrosting.
IMPORTANT :
Before defrosting the MB3000G, the contents preserved in it will have to be removed and stored temporari-
ly in other working refrigerator.
Switch off the power supply and remove the plug of its power supply cord from the wall socket.
Prepare the temporary storage and transfer the contents and preserve properly with care.
Take the frozen ice packs out. Keep them wrapped
together with a thick blanket or similar insulating mate-
rial. This will keep the coldness of the icepacks during
defrosting of the unit.
To speed up the defrosting process, gently remove the
complete inner liner by holding it on its two opposite
sides and lifting it uniformly.
Open the drainage plug at the bottom front side the
cabinet. Keep a suitable container under the drain
hose to collect the defrost water.
Keep the lid open and allow the frost to melt comple-
tely. Never use any heat source other than hot water
to speed up defrosting or any sharp-edged instrument
for removing frost.
