2. Operating Conditions
Purposeful Use
The device represents a heat transfer station for heat discharge via cooling water out of
water-cooled server cabinets.
The CoolTrans serves to separate the primary cooling water network from the secondary
cooling water network.
The pumps within the network have been designed to guaranty sufficient heat discharge
from the server cabinets.
In order to facilitate safe heat discharge, the connection (piping network) between the
CoolTrans and the equipment to be cooled needs to be designed according to the rules of
technology and to the performance parameters.
By means of diffusion-proof insulation, the installation of the CoolTrans itself is independent
of the humidity of ambient air.
The CoolTrans must be installed frost-proof.
The floor must be capable of bearing the CoolTrans load.
