IMPORTANT: According to DIN EN 1717, a heating system may only be filled by connecting a BA
system separator upstream!

PREPARATION OF HWE / HVE / HVE Plus
Use the hardness measuring set to determine the hardness of the raw water. Take the raw water from
any tap in your drinking water installation and measure its hardness.

In the delivery state, the display is switched off (Fig. 5.1).
Switch on: Press any key. The version number and the remaining quantity of the default setting [litres]
are displayed (Figure 5.2).
LED display GREEN= capacity available
LED display RED= capacity is exhausted or the set conductance value is exceeded
Switch off: simultaneously press and hold the ↑ and ↓ keys until the LED display goes out.

To adjust the values to the local conditions and set them to the selected cartridge type, press and hold
the OK button for at least 3 seconds.
This is followed by a query for the raw water hardness:
