● Do not use the product in explosive environments, for
example near flammable liquids, gas or dust. The product
produces sparks, which can ignite dust and fumes.
● Use the product carefully. Never run with the product.
● Be careful to make sure your fingers do not fasten
between the blades and fixed parts of the product – risk
of serious personal injury.
● Do not mow wet ground, near streams/ditches or steep
slopes – risk of losing control.
● Do not use the product to cut bushes, creeping plants or
vegetation on roofs or balconies, to remove rubbish from
paths or to cut twigs – risk of serious personal injury.
● Do not use the product in an attempt to level
irregularities in the lawn, such as molehills.
● Do not use the product to drive other products.
2.2.5 Using and handling battery powered
products
● Only charge the battery with the charger recommended
by the manufacturer. A charger intended for one type of
battery can result in a fire risk if used with another type of
battery.
● Only use batteries recommended by the manufacturer.
The use of other batteries can result in a risk of personal
injury and/or fire.
● When the battery is not in use keep it away from metal
objects such as paper-clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and
other small metal objects that can short circuit the
terminals. Short circuiting discharges large amounts of
energy and can cause a fire and/or serious personal
injury.
● Failure to handle the battery carefully can cause fluid to
leak from the battery. Avoid contact with battery fluid. If
you get battery fluid on your skin, rinse immediately in
plenty of fresh water. If you get battery fluid in your eyes,
rinse your eyes with clean water for at least
10 minutes and then seek medical attention immediately.
Fluid leaking from the battery can cause irritation or
burns.
● Read all the instructions and safety instructions for the
charger and/or battery.
2.2.6 Service
● The power tool must only be serviced by qualified
personnel using identical spare parts. This will ensure
that the power tool remains safe to use.

2.2.7 Additional safety instructions

● Read all the warnings, safety instructions and other
instructions carefully before use and familiarise yourself
with the controls on the product and how to use them,
their applications, limits and potential risks. It is
recommended to undertake a suitable training course.
● The product is not intended to be used by persons
(children or adults) with any form of functional disorders,
or by persons who do not have sufficient experience or
knowledge on how to use it, unless they have received
instructions concerning the use of the product from
someone who is responsible for their safety. Keep
children under supervision to make sure they do not play
with the product.
● Switch off the product and remove the battery in the
following situations.
● Before leaving the product unattended.
● Before checking, adjusting, cleaning or doing any other
work on the product.
● If the product starts vibrating abnormally.
● Carefully inspect the area where the product is to be
used and remove any foreign objects that can fasten and
be thrown out by the product. Ejected objects can cause
serious personal injury and/or material damage.
● Switch off the product and wait until all moving parts
have completely stopped before putting it down.
● Switch off the product before transporting it.
● Do not use the product if a handle or safety device is
dismantled or damaged. Do not use the product if it is not
fully assembled.
● Do not dismantle the product or attempt to modify or
repair it, this will invalidate the warranty and can result in
a risk of personal injury and/or material damage.
● Only use spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.
Remove the battery before changing accessories and/or
spare parts. Fit accessories and/or spare parts in
accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
● After a collision with an object. Check the product and
have any damage repaired before using it again.
● If the product starts to vibrate abnormally. Always check
the product before use to make sure that the blade, blade
fastener and cutter unit are not worn or damaged. Always
replace the complete set of blade and blade fastener if
they are worn or damaged to avoid imbalance. Check
that the safety and warning labels on the product are
intact and legible. Replace any labels that are illegible or
have gone missing.
