7.1.5. Adjustment of the seat height
The adapter plate and consequently the seat shell can
be adjusted continuously variably using a gas pres-
sure spring at a height between 200 mm and 650 mm�

Locking the wheels – ROOMY
with 100 mm or 125 mm plastic castors
In order to lock the wheels, apply the locking pedals for
the castors using your foot (Fig� 18)� In order to release
the brakes again, pull the pedal up again using the tip
of your foot�
Locking the wheels – ROOMY
with 12" or 16" wheels
The 12" and 16" ROOMY
only differ with regard to size and visual appearance�
However, the operation of the locking brake (drum
brake) remains identical�
The levers for the locking brake are situated on the
sliding handle� In order to block the wheels, pull the
brake lever� The red locking lever engages three times
of its own accord� In order to re-release the brake,
apply the black brake lever and the red brake lever
together� The brake can consequently also be used as
a running brake, for example to reduce downhill speed�

In order to achieve an optimum braking effect, the
brake force is adjusted using the setting screw� The
brake power is intensified by unscrewing the setting
screw and decreased by screwing it in�
Please unscrew the screw until you hear grinding noises
on the rotating wheel� Then screw the setting screw
back in until the grinding noises disappear� Now the
wheel runs smoothly� After completion of settings, the
setting screw is fixed by tightening the locknut�
