5 Mounting
HOT PROBE TIP
The probe tip can reach temperatures of more than 100°C.
• Avoid any contact with the probe tip.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury or
equipment damage.
5.1

Preparing mounting

 Verify that the product is mounted to an even, rigid and dry wall at eye
level.
 Verify that the product is accessible and easy to oversee at all times.
 Verify that the product is not exposed to water or splash water.
 Do not install the product in damp rooms.
 Verify that the ambient temperature at the product is not exceeded, see
chapter "Technical specifications").
 Protect the product from direct atmospheric influences if it is installed out-
doors.
 A properly operating system requires the tank to be equipped with an
overflow pipe or an overfill prevention system according to TRbF.
 When the product is switched on and the probe is in air, the heat-up time
of the PTC thermistor is up to 15 seconds. This heat-up time must elapse
before the product is ready for operation.
 When the PTC thermistor loses contact with a liquid, the heat-up time of
the PTC thermistor is approximately 30 seconds. This heat-up time must
elapse before the product switches.
 Consider these response delays when selecting the height at which the
probe is to be mounted.
