Load a recordable cassette tape with
the exposed
side of the tape facing
down and the side you wish to record
facing the outside of the deck.
. Set the BIAS and EQ switch to match
the tape you are using per the chart on
page 3.
Set the DOLBY
NR switch to IN if
you want to Dolby encode the tape, or
to OUT if you want to record without
Dolby encoding.
. Set the MONITOR Switch to SOURCE.
. Set the MIC and LINE Input Level
Controls to MIN.
. Set the OUTPUT
Level
Control
to
position #7.
Depress the PAUSE key and lock it in
the down position. Then depress the
REC
key and while holding it down,
depress
the
Play
key.
Preliminary
switch settings are done.
Connect the source input. Tune in the
FM station or start the record player,
etc. for initial record level adjustment
source.
Increase the MIC or LINE level con-
trols until the VU meters read 0 VU
for the loudest portions of the song.
. Depress the PAUSE key again and re-
lease it. This begins the actual record-
ing.
. Set the MONITOR Switch to TAPE to
hear the off-the-tape sound.
Depress the STOP key when the re-
cording
is finished.
If you wish to
record
another selection
depress the
PAUSE
key instead of the STOP key.
To begin the next recording depress
and release the PAUSE key.
Erasing
A previously recorded tape can be erased on
the deck by recording the entire tape with
the MIC and LINE
Level Controls set to
MIN. A bulk eraser, such as the TEAC E-2,
can also be used to erase the tape more com-
pletely.

Kassettenfach zu offnen.
Ein
bespielbares
Kassettenband
ein-
legen. Die Bandseite mufS nach unten,
und die Seite, welche bespielt werden
soll, mu& dabei nach aufen zeigen.
Die Vormagmetisierungs-
und Entzer-
rungsschalter
(BIAS
und
EQ)
dem
verwendeten
Band
entsprechend
ein-
stellen. Beziehen Sie sich dabei auf die
Tabelle auf Seite 3.
Stellen Sie den DOLBY
NR Schalter
auf IN, wenn Sie das Banol dolbysieren
wollen bzw. auf OUT, wenn Sie ohne
DOLBY aufnahmen wollen.
. Stellen Sie den MONITOR-schalter auf
SOURCE.
. Stellen Sie die MIC- und
LINE- Ein-
gangspegelregler auf MIN.
Bringen Sie den Ausgangspegelregler in
Stellung 7.
Die Pausentaste driicken und sie in der
gedriickten Stellung belassen. Wahrend
Sie dann die Aufnahmetaste hinunter-
gedriickt halten, auch die Abspieltaste
dricken
bis sie einrastet.
Stellen
Sie zuerst
die Schalter
ent-
sprechend ein, und schlieRen Sie dann
die Klangquelle
an. Wahlen
Sie den
UKW-Sender,
oder
lassen
Sie
den
Plattenspieler
laufen
usw.,
um
dann
eine
erste
CEinstellung
des
Auf-
nahmepegels
der
Klangquelle
durch-
zufuhren.
Den MIC- und LINE-pegelregler soweit
aufdrehen bis die Metennadel der Aus-
steuerungsmesser
bei
den
lautesten
Tonen ungefahr O VU erreicht.
Stellen Sie den MONITOR-schalter auf
TAPE, um den klang vom
Band zu
horen.
.
Wenn
Sie
die
Aufnahme
beenden
wollen, die Stoptaste driicken. Falls Sie
jedoch die Aufnahme
nur kurzfristig
unterbrechen
wollen, die Pausentaste
erneut dricken. Zur Fortsetzung
der
Aufnahme die Pausentaste durch einen
weiteren Druck wieder losen.
Bandloschen
Ein zuvor bespieltes
Band kann auf dem
Deck geldscht werden, indem Sie das ganze
Band
bei MIC-
und
LINE-Pegelregler
in
Stellung 0 bespielen. Eine Loschspule, wie
das TEAC Modell E-2, dient auch zu voll-
standigem Loschen des Bandes.
