ATTENTION: BEFORE USING THE POWER TOOL READ THESE
INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE
REFERENCE.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
• The belt sander can only be used for sanding.
• It must not be used for stationary operation.
• Inhalation of dust with abrasive properties is hazardous to health.
This includes fumes from lead-based paints, dust from certain
types of wood such as oak and metal dust. Therefore, as a
general rule, work with a dust extraction unit.
• Do not machine any materials containing asbestos with a
grinder.
• Wear a protective respirator and splash goggles when sanding.
• The use of protective earmuffs is recommended.
• The workpiece must be clamped to prevent it moving. For
example, the material can be clamped in a vice.
• Only use abrasive belts of the recommended size.
• Before changing the abrasive belt, disconnect the sander from
the power supply by removing the power plug from the mains
socket.
• When working, hold and move the sander while gripping it firmly
with both hands.
• Always observe the instructions in the general and specific safety
regulations for the handling of hand-held power tools.
ATTENTION! The device is designed for indoor operation.
Despite the inherently safe design, the use of protective equipment
and additional protective measures, there is always a residual risk of
injury during work.
CONSTRUCTION AND PURPOSE
The belt grinder is a hand-held electric tool driven by a single-phase
commutator motor. The grinder does not require protective earthing
(class II insulation).
The belt sander is designed for surface sanding of wooden products,
polishing of varnished wooden surfaces, finishing polishing of
varnished metal surfaces, removing rust or varnish marks before re-
painting, finishing of concrete surfaces, etc. Areas of use include
renovation and construction work, carpentry and all DIY (do-it-yourself)
work
Do not misuse the power tool.

PREPARATION FOR WORK
DUST EXTRACTION
• The belt grinder is equipped with a dust bag to keep the
workpiece surface clean. The dust bag is installed on the dust
extraction port (3) (figure A).
• The dust bag must be emptied regularly to ensure efficient
operation of the sander It is recommended that the dust bag is
emptied when half full.
• Install the dust bag on the dust discharge port (3) by sliding it
over the port.
• Check that the dust bag is securely seated by pulling lightly on
the bag.
• Removing the dust bag is done in the reverse order to its
installation.
FITTING THE ABRASIVE BELT
• Before attaching the abrasive belt, ensure that the switch is in
the off position and that the power cord is unplugged.
• Move the abrasive belt tension lever (11) in the direction shown
by the arrow (fig. B) as far as it will go.
• Place the abrasive belt on the rollers (fig. C).
• Move the abrasive belt tension lever (11) to its original position
(fig. D).
• Ensure that the direction of the arrow on the back of the abrasive
belt matches the direction of the arrow on the belt sander
housing.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
ON / OFF
• Before connecting the grinder to the mains supply always check that
the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage specified on the
rating plate on the power tool and that the switch is in the off
position.
• Hold the sander firmly with both hands before switching it on.
Only switch on the sander when it is raised above the material to be
processed.
• Switching on - press the switch button (8) and hold it in this position.
• Switching off - release pressure on switch button (8). SWITCH BLOCK
(continuous operation)
Switching on:
• Press the on/off button (8) and hold in this position.
