3. Dismantling the housing (Fig. 4)
Unscrew the 4 screws (160) on the housing underside and remove
the housing (30) to the top.
4. Exchanging the motor (Fig. 4)
Remove the housing, see section 3. Unscrew the fastening screws
(89), lift off the cover (88). Remove the motor (87).
Note:
Observe the mounting position of the motor before it is removed,
otherwise the travelling direction will be wrong. The motor's contact
plates (180) must lie on the top of the printed circuit board when
installed.
5. Exchanging the circuit board (Fig. 4)
Remove the housing and motor, see section 3 and 4. Disconnect the
dummy plug (169) of the DC version or the digital decoder (86) of the
AC version. Unscrew the fastening screws (91). Lift out the circuit
board (92). Remove all cables by pulling off the cable lug (168).
Please mark where the individual cables were fixed.
6. Exchanging the bulb (Fig. 4)
Remove the housing, see section 3. Remove corresponding bulb
cable (12, 64) by pulling off the cable holder (168) on the printed
circuit board (92). Pull bulb out of the lamp (10, 61, 109).
7. Exchanging the premium digital decoder
(Fig. 4)
Remove the housing, see section 3.
Withdraw the premium digital decoder (86) and insert new one.
8. Exchanging the sliding contact of the
Alternating Current Version (Fig. 4)
Unscrew the fastening screw (165) of the sliding contact (152).
Remove the sliding contact.
9. Mounting smoke insert (Fig. 4)
Remove the housing, see section 3.
Insert the smoke unit (item 167, Order No. 9750.52.01) in the holder
(85) and fit housing.
10.Exchanging the traction tires (Fig. 4)
Undo and remove screw (130). Push couple rod (131 or 146) to the
side and replace traction tyres (166).
11.Maintenance work on the upper transmission
section (Fig. 4)
Remove the housing and motor, see section 3 and 4.
Gehäuse und Motor demontieren, siehe Punkt 3 und 4.
Undo and remove 2 screws (93), remove holder (94) and remove the
worm gear (123) from above.
Note:
The entire chassis must be disassembled for maintenance work on
the front or back standard coupling shaft (102), wheel sets (126,
138, 139), coupling rods (133, 149) or gearbox. When dismantling the
chassis please note where each individual part was mounted. The
mounting position is also indicated on the spare parts graph on page
12 - 14. Before disassembling the chassis it is necessary to dismantle
the housing and motor (see sections 3 and 4).
