Use with slings, lifting appliance and BX01D-1000 model is not possible.
For handling with a lifting machine on site, we recommend using the BX200 kerbstone clamp,
which is specially adapted for this kind of employment
Do not lift greasy or oily products.
Do not lift products with a length other than 1 m within a tolerance of ± 10 mm.
The minimum weight of lifting load should be equal to 5% of the clamp's WLL (e.g. if clamps WLL is
1000 kg, then minimum weight is 50 kg). This value is given for a clamp in perfect working order and
respecting Tractel Solutions SAS conditions of use and recommendations. Consult Tractel in case of
loads with weight inferior to the minimum recommended value.
Lifting clamps are not suitable for creating permanent joints.
Operating temperature: -20°C to +100°C.
Handling accessory to lift and lay concrete pieces, namely kerbstones, grabbed crosswise.
Clamp fitted with a pawl to lock it in the open position and rubber-coated pads.
1. When using a lifting appliance only: assemble a 2-legged sling – length per leg: 290 mm – fitted with
HR 0.75 t shackles fixed in the holes marked 12 on sketch then suspend the sling and clamp
assembly ; do not take this step into account in case of manual lifting.
2. Fit the open clamp onto the product to be lifted – locking pawl (3) activated.
3. Lift up the pawl (3) by its handle whilst starting off the lifting operation, keep it up to prevent it from
locking onto the fastening screw (7).
4. Release the pawl (3) when it has gone beyond its fastening position.
5. Lifting can be performed.
6. When laying down, bring the sling and clamp down until the pawl (3) is automatically locked onto its
fastening screw (7). The clamp is locked in the open position, the sling and clamp assembly can be
lifted up, ready to be used again.
The pads or pieces must be free from grease or oil.
Adhere to the working dimensions of the clamp.
Operating temperature: -20°C to +90°C.
The BX200 clamp, with its heavy duty conception and fitted with two-legged sling, is specially designed for
the handling of standard concrete kerbstones with 1m length with lifting machine.
This model is equipped with two handles with large dimensions so as to facilitate its transport and its
positioning on the load.
Clamping is proportional to the weight of the load, minimising damage risks.
1. Put the clamp with the opened jaws on the kerbstone
2. Grab the kerbstone between the pads lengthwise.
3. The lifting can be performed
4. Clamping is automatic under the weight of the kerbstone.
5. Once the kerbstone has been transported and laid, the clamp is ready to be used again.
