Temperature measurement
To measure temperatures, point the aperture of the IR sensor at the object to be
measured and press the temperature measurement button.
Make sure that the spot size is not larger than the object to be measured. The currently
determined temperature value is shown in the LCD display. To locate the hottest spots
of an object, the Testboy TV 329 is pointed at a point outside the desired area and the
area is then "searched" with "zigzag" movements while holding down the temperature
measurement button until the hottest spot is found. After you have released the key for
temperature measurement, the temperature value determined is displayed for a few
more seconds. During this time, "HD" is displayed. After these approx. 10 seconds, the
unit switches itself off automatically to save battery capacity. Select the desired unit for
the display (°C/°F). When the laser is switched on, the laser dot marks the
approximate centre of the measuring area. This facilitates precise measurements.
