— When touching the contact surface (8), the lamp
»PE" (12) lights red if the protective conductor is
not connected or if its potential to earth is > 100V
[not in function when the function switch (2) is set
to position UL_n or H or when the function switch
is set to position U oe with the tester turned on;
see table „Lamp functions" under "Specifi-
cations' ]. The measurement is not blocked when
the lamp „PE" (12) lights red.
if the neutral conductor N is not connected, the
lamp ,Netz" (13) lights green (see table "Lamp
Functions" under "Specifications".
4.2 Voltage Measurement
Connection
Connect the M 5010 with the test plug (6) or with the
measuring adapter (5) according to the wiring diagram.
— With the function switch (2) set to position Uu
between outer conductor L and neutral conductor
N without the need for observing the polarity of the
piug, and
Voltage measurements with the measuring
adapter (5) are only possible with the function switch
(2) set to UL -pg. With the two probes, voltages can be
measured on any conductors of three-phase systems
up to 230/400V.
Measurement
— Set the function switch (2) to UL_N and/or U, pe,
Move the sliding switch (7) temporarily to
position Y.
— Read the voltage on the digital measured value
display (24).
With the function switch (2) set to positions LU wv and
(hee, the lamp PE" (12) is in function only with the
tester turned off (see table "Lamp Functions" under
"Specifications").With the switch set to position U_.n,
potential is signalled on the plug connector marked N,
with the switch set to position U|-pe, potential is
signalled on connector PE.
The lamp "Netz" (13) has no function on the voltage
measuring ranges.
