6. Connecting the Device
6.1 Important notes on connecting the device
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
If the device is connected by unqualified persons,
there is a risk of life-threatening electric shock!
The battery connection may only be carried out by a
suitably qualified electrician in compliance with the
applicable regulations and standards, as well as the safety
instructions contained in this manual, in particular the notes
of this chapter!
The following instructions are addressed
to the installer.
Protectivemeasuresforbattery(de)installation
• Use tools with insulated handles during installation!
• Wear protective clothing such as insulating gloves, safety goggles
and insulating boots!
• Do not wear watches, rings or similar metallic objects.
• Do not place any metal tools or objects on the batteries.
Notes on cables
• To protect the cables from damage, make sure they are not pinched,
kinked or twisted and cannot come into contact with sharp edges,
pointed corners or hot surfaces!
• If a cable is damaged or needs to be replaced, this must be done
by a suitably qualified electrician using the correct tools to avoid
danger!
