Decentralised ventilation unit – KWL
5�1 Electrical connection
m Danger to life due to electric shock!
Touching live parts will lead to electric shock�
Before any maintenance or installation work or before opening the cover, the unit and/or connection cable
must be fully isolated from the power supply and secured against unintended restart!
The electrical connection may only be carried out by an authorised electrician according to the following wiring
diagrams� The electrical connection must be fully isolated from the power supply until the final assembly!
The relevant national standards, safety regulations and instructions (e.g. DIN EN VDE 0100) as well as the technical
connection conditions of the energy supply company must be observed.
An all-pole mains section switch/isolator with a minimum contact opening of 3 mm (VDE 0700 T1 7.12.2 / EN 60335-1)
is mandatory.
If a residual current circuit breaker is installed in the supply line of the ventilation unit, the residual current circuit breaker
must have the following technical characteristics::
Type A or B with a rated differential current of 30 mA�
The ventilation unit has a leakage current of > 3.5 mA.
ATTENTION:
1. The ventilation unit is exclusively designed for fixed connection, the connection via plug is not permitted.
2. The PE connection must be executed with 2 wires with min. 1.5 mm² or one 10 mm² wire.
The connection cable is not included in the scope of delivery for the unit. Select the cable type and diameter according
to the maximum unit power consumption in consideration of specific on-site requirements.
The controller is connected to the unit by means of a connection cable (max. 10 m). The electrical connection of the unit
takes place directly in the terminal box.
Accessories are also connected via the connections in the terminal box (see wiring diagram).
5�2 Connect condensate pump KWL-KP-I
1. Place the power cable ➊ in the unit and lead it through the rubber grommet outwards to the terminal bo (see
Fig.20).
