4.10. Adjustments to the Control unit
Changes to the programming of the control unit must not be carried
out and voids the product conformity and road approval. Changes to
the programming have an impact on speed, acceleration and brake
delay. If carried out incorrectly, this can lead to fatal injuries to the user
and/or a third party.
4.11. Getting in and out of the chair
Side transfer
Position the wheelchair and the current or future seat surface side
by side, as close as possible to one another.
If you are transferring from another wheelchair or indoor frame,
secure these by applying the parking brakes.
The wheelchair must be secured so that it cannot roll away uninten-
tionally. To do this, switch the control unit off by pressing the ON/
OFF button (when the control unit is switched off, all displays are
unlit).
Remove the armrest/sideguard.
Flip the footplates to the side or remove the legrests.
Now slide sideways onto the other seat surface.
Please make sure that you are sitting as far back in the seat as
possible.
Re-fit the armrests and legrests back in their
initial positions.
Frontal transfer
First swing the footplates upwards or remove the legrests (Fig. 54).
Position the wheelchair and the current or future seat as close as
possible to one another, facing each other.
If you are transferring from another wheelchair or indoor frame,
secure these by applying the parking brakes.
Now slide onto the seat surface by rotating your body.
Then hang the legrests back in their initial position.

4.12. Driving the wheelchair
Before setting off, check that the electromagnetic
brake is properly locked!
Make sure that the drives are engaged (see Chapter 4.13)
Make sure that you are sitting comfortably and securely.
Press the ON/OFF button to switch the wheelchair into drive mode
(Fig. 31).
All electronic drive functions are now available to you.
Driving functions
Your dealer can adjust the values for speed, acceleration and decelera-
tion individually to your requirements, taking the legal requirements
into account.
At the start, choose a lower speed level and increase it during the jour-
ney as required.
You can start driving using the joystick. The joystick is used both for
increasing the speed and changing the direction of travel. When the
joystick is in the central position, the wheelchair is braked mechanically
and secured against rolling away.
Driving in a straight line: To drive in a straight line, push the joystick
forwards carefully. The further you push the joystick forwards, the faster
your wheelchair will go. When you let go of the joystick, the drive will
be braked automatically.
Driving backwards: To drive backwards, push the joystick backwards
carefully. The further you push the joystick backwards, the faster your
wheelchair will go. When you let go of the joystick, the drive will be
braked automatically.
Cornering: To change the direction of travel, tilt the joystick to the left
or right. This is also possible with the joystick deflected forwards or
backwards, i.e. when driving forwards and backwards.
