Installation and Operating Instructions
CHAPTER 3
ASSEMBLY
Central Ventilation Box ZEB 380
3.0 Assembly instructions
If possible, the unit should be assembled away from the rooms to be ventilated
to prevent noise pollution. In critical cases, suitable sound attenuators (see Helios
accessories) can be used. In order to prevent structure-borne sound transmission,
the unit must be assembled on a sound-insulating substrate if applicable. Intake/
discharge lines are simply connected to the fittings and fastened using hose
clamps or adhesive tape.
The unit is controlled directly via the 3-stage switch DSEL 3, overrun timer or
timer WSUP (Accessories).
The system must be assembled with as little air resistance as possible and it
must be air-tight. Minimise the use of flexible lines. Seal the unused openings on
the intake side. Close the press opening in any case. Mount the ZEB 380 to a
wall or ceiling with sufficient mass.
3.1 Mechanical connections
The ZEB 380 has four intake-side and one discharge-side connection spigots on
the sides. Three of the intake spigots are sealed in the standard version.
3.2 Adjusting the valves
Set the ZEB 380 to the highest level. Close the windows and doors and set the
valves to the necessary volume flow per room. Make a note of the valve settings.
3.3 Commissioning
The following checks must be carried out:
– Check for operation according to the intended purpose of the fan
– Compare power supply voltage with rating plate
– Check fan for solid fastening
– Check all parts, especially screws, nuts, clamps for tight fit
– Compare power consumption with rating plate data
– Check sealing of connection cable and tight clamping of cables
