Product description and working
principle
Remote control dimmer EVN012 allows to
dim light of an incandescent load, low voltage
LV halogen (230V), extra-low voltage halogen
(12V or 24V ELV) with electronic or ferromagnetic
transformer, Fluo-Compact dimmable light with
built-in supply, dimmable 230V LED lamp with
built-in supply, or very low voltage dimmable LED
lamp (ELV 12V or 24V) with electronic transformer.
This product is a universal dimmer with automatic
load control and built-in teaching feature for more
efficiently Fluo-Compact and 230V LED lamp
adjustment.
The product has also an "override" mode, which
allows to select the desired dimming mode.
Dimming is achieved by using lighted or standard
push-buttons connected to the product.

level. Adjustment direction (down/up) is reversed
on each new extended pressure action.
Load teaching
Load teaching allows to detect load characteristics
in order to control it more efficiently.
• Press the pushbutton for 10 s. until the load
flickers once.
Upon pressing, the load may flash.
• Press the pushbutton shortly once to start the
teaching procedure. This operation lasts for
about 30 seconds and makes the lighting level
vary.
• After the process has ended, the load switches
on to the maximum level and flickers once to
signal teaching completion.
If no action occurs within 10 seconds after
extended pressure, the product will be returned to
the previous dimming mode.
Depending on the connected load, the minimum
lighting level can be modified.
Factory reset (automatic mode)
If a conventional load is installed again, it is
possible to reset the "factory" dimming mode:
extended pressure for 10 seconds, then 2 short
repeat pressure actions.
The product will confirm factory reset by making
the load flicker twice.
This mode is most suited to the conventional
loads.
A load shall be connected to perform
the teaching or factory reset process.

Use the same phase for control and supply
Dimming mode override
Maintain pressure on button 1 until the indicator
light flickers.
Press pushbutton shortly once/several times for
selecting the desired dimming mode:

Factory reset (automatic mode )
Press button 1 for an extended time to confirm
the selected mode, the indicator light stops
flickering.
If no action occurs within 2 minutes after long
pressure is performed, the product will return to
the previous dimming mode. This mode is most

suited to the conventional loads.

* On "Yellow" mode validation, lighting can be
disturbed for a short time. The dimmer adjusts its

characteristics to the connected lamps.

If the validated mode is not compatible with
the connected load, the dimmer will return
automatically to the "factory" mode.
Displaying the current dimming mode
The current dimming mode can be displayed by a
short pressure of button 1.
Comfort features

EVN012 offers selectable comfort features through
Selector 2. These features are activated by

pressing the pushbutton twice. Features available
are:
1- Progressive switch-off: the brightness level
decreases gradually (30 minutes down from
100%) until switch-off. On the next command,
L
the product will switch-on and increase lighting
gradually from the mini lighting level to prevent
dazzling.

2- Night light: the brightness level is maintained at
30% for 30 minutes, and then light goes off.
3- 100%: allows to recall the maximum level.
4- No function.
Installation Instructions:
Install the product at the bottom of the enclosure
to prevent excessive operating temperature.
We recommend separating dimmers EVN012 from
high power electromechanical devices (contactors,
circuit breakers)
Protection against overheating or
overloads
In the event of overheating or overload, power
