Bending Inserts
2 Sizes:
Ø 9,5 mm - for Hardtubes with an inner diameter of 10 mm
Ø 12,5 mm - for Hardtubes with an inner diameter of 13 mm
These "rubber inserts" are inserted into a tube before it is heated, in order to
produce equal counter pressure and prevent the tube from buckling. The Hard
Tube is easy to bend evenly then. Moistening the insert before insertion (e.g. with
distilled water) is recommended, so you can accurately watch the temperature
increase and determine the right time to bend the tube. Moistening the insert
also makes it easier to remove after the Hard Tube has cooled off.
Gloves
For safety, always wear gloves when heating Hard Tubes. A heat gun (available
separately) can produce temperatures of up to 600°C and can cause severe
burns.
